Two hours of flying in the southerly direction took us to Shanghai. We met up with Toni's old colleague Mattias who has lived here for almost six years. After a fantastic dinner at a japanese restaurant he showed us the hotspots of the city, among them a members-only club designed by Philippe Starck, and a huge bar overlooking the famous skyline of Shanghai’s Pudong district (which is dominated by two enormous structures: the 468 metre Oriental Pearl Tower and the 420.5 metre Jin Mao Building). We could not have been given a better introduction to this city!
